CRM STRATEGY

Decide what the CRM is for, before deciding what it does

A strategy is a set of choices about what you won’t do. We help you make those choices explicit, sequenced and measurable.

“We need a better CRM” is a symptom. Underneath it is usually a specific business problem: forecast accuracy, cost to serve, cross-sell that never happens, or a customer experience that fragments at handover.

CRM strategy work names that problem, sets a target you can measure, and decides which capabilities to build in what order. It also defines who runs the platform afterwards — the operating model — because most roadmaps fail at ownership rather than at technology.

What you get

  • A named business outcome with a baseline and a target, agreed by the people accountable for it.
  • Capability roadmap sequenced by value and dependency, not by which team shouted loudest.
  • Operating model: who prioritises, who builds, who approves, who supports.
  • Data strategy that specifies the few fields that must be right rather than aspiring to perfect data.
  • Adoption plan with named champions and a change narrative for each affected role.
  • Investment profile across licences, delivery and run.

Common questions

We already have a roadmap. Can you pressure-test it?

Yes — a two-week review against outcomes, dependencies and capacity is a common engagement.

Who should be involved?

Whoever owns the outcome, whoever owns the budget, and two or three people who do the work daily. Strategy built without the last group doesn’t survive contact.

Does strategy work require a platform decision?

No. Roughly a third of the time the recommendation is to fix process and ownership before changing anything technical.
